8. CATOLSTER² (DROWNING¹ BEAR, CHIEF) was born 1812 in Gi-du-wa, CNE [NC], and died November 21, 1905. She married (2) SPADE Bef. 1838. He was born 1818, and died June 27, 1845. She married (3) BEAR MEAT Bef. 1847, son of GO-LV-SA-YO-HA and NU-GI. He was born 1802 in CNE [Soco Creek, NC].

Katal’sta :
an East Cherokee woman potter, the daughter of the chief Yanagun’ski. The name conveys the idea of lending, from tsiyatal’sta, "I lend it"; agatal’sta, "it is lent to him."
