1. DAVID¹ ENGLAND was born Abt. 1790, and died Bef. 1858. He married SUSAN A CONNER. She was born Abt. 1802, and died Aft. 1858.

Notes for DAVID ENGLAND:
In her 1906 application Margaret Tanner nee Schrimsher states:
"Mother's father [David England] was half brother to the Cherokee chief
Sauney Lee, who was killed on Lee's Creek while he and his warriors
were fighting with other tribe of indians. Killed near Ft Smith & buried
in cave."

Notes for SUSAN A CONNER:
Starr lists Susan as a Conner; however, in Margaret Schrimsher's 1906 application she lists Susan, her grandmother, as Susanna England nee Fields, and in Gideon's "Indian Territory", 1901, pg 280, she is refered to as "Susan Frills, of the Long Horn claim [Long Hair Clan?] and her father was a prominent Cherokee who was killed by the Osage Indians."
