It is possible (likely?) that she is the Betsy Brown who was a half-sister of James Bigby, Sr.
In the BIA records David Taylor testified in behalf of the widow of John Brown that "Betsy Brown is a relative of my wife" [=Polly Ann Bigby, daughter of James Bigby, Sr].
