Notes for B
ENJAMIN B WISNER, JUDGE:
Cherokee by Blood, pg 46, statement of Andrew L Payne;
"..My mother [Cherokee Elizabeth Wisner] gets her Indian blood from
both sides. Her father was B B Wisner or Judge Wisner. He was the
first judge of Saline District and he always signed his name B B Wisner.
I don't know what the B B means. He probably lived in Delaware or
Saline District in 1851. He was a Cherokee Indian but I am not sure
whether he was an Old Settler or an Emigrant....
Laugh at Mush was the father of B B Wisner."

In the statement of Andrew Payne he states that he thought he had an
uncle named Ben Wisner; however the application is noted with...
"Mr W D Lipe states that Ben Wisner was the grandfather of applicant
and not the uncle as above stated. Some called him Ben Mush.
B B Wisner and Ben Wisner are one and the same."
