"Information reached us on Tuesday last from Judge John T. Adair who called at the house of James A. Thompson on his way to Court and stated that Alexander Foreman, Whitepath, and a Cherokee name unknown to us but said to be a member of the National Council for Illinois District was all three killed at Foremans Landing mouth of Illinois."
