8 May 1805 Henry Giles to Jacob Smithers for 20 pounds lot #49 in South Square of Salisbury. This lot was conveyed by William Dry to Hugh Montgomery (08:014) and from him to Peter Foust and Jacob Utzman (12:536) who sold it to Mathias Barringer (12:534) who conveyed it to this Grantor. Acknowledged at May Court 1805.

Rowan Co., NC: Jacob Smeather was Bondsman for marriage of John Reed and Polly Parker 24 Jan 1811. Was also Bondsman for marriage of Henry Snider and Tilley Porter 20 Jul 1813.
