She married PAUL WILLIAM ARRINGTON December 24, 1935 in Haywood Co., NC, son of WILLIAM ARRINGTON and RACHEL SATTERFIELD. He was born March 21, 1897 in Haywood Co., NC, and died March 27, 1963 in Newnan, GA.

VELYN ELIZABETH DERRICK:
Evelyn Derrick Arrington, 83, of Palmetto, Georgia, died of cancer December 19, 1993 at Southwest Christian Hospice in Union City, Georgia. A native of Haywood County, she was a member of the Victory Baptist Church in Palmetto and a retired clothing inspector for Playtex. Services were held December 21 in the Chapel of Parrott Funeral Home in Fairburn. The Rev. Marty Few officiated. Burial followed at Holly Hill Memorial Park. Pallbearers were David Arrington, Edward Arrington, Mike Clark, Phillip Pence, Chris Young and Warren Young. Survivors include a daughter, Carolyn Young of Senoia, two sons Bill and Wade Arrington, both of Palmetto, two sisters, Harriet Rhinehart and Nell Crawford of Waynesville, six grandchildren, six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Mountaineer Newspaper, June 15, 1922, Saunook News: Mr Paul and Alvin Arrington, while working in their corn, ran upon a big rattler measuring three feet six inches, with ten rattles and a button, Monday morning.

Marriage License: Paul Arrington, 25, son of W.F., dead, and Rachel Arrington, living, married Etta Arrington, 18, daughter of C.W. and Martha Arrington, both living, September 2, 1922, at Haywood County Court House.

Marriage License: Paul Arrington, 26, son of W.F., dead, and Rachel Arrington, living, married Ruby Melton, 18, daughter of S.H. and J.M. Melton, October 31, 1924.


William Paul Arrington, 66, former resident of Haywood County, died Wednesday morning (March 27, 1963), at his home in Newnan, Georgia, after a long illness. He was a carpenter and a veteran of World War I. His parents were William and Rachel Satterfield Arrington. Surviving are the widow, Evelyn Derrick Arrington, a daughter, Mrs. Richard Young, and two sons, Wade and Bill Arrington all of Palmeto, Georgia, three sisters, Mrs. Claude Hill, Mrs. H.H. Evanson and Mrs. Rhoda Rickman all of Balsam.

20. LYMAN GLADSTONE8 DERRICK (JAMES WEBSTER7, HONOR ANN6 BROOKSHIRE, BALUS5, BENJAMIN4, WILLIAM3, WILLIAM2, JAMES1) was born April 23, 1903 in Toms Creek, VA, and died January 28, 1962 in Rabun Co., GA. He married LUCY MILLER.

YMAN GLADSTONE DERRICK:
Clayton Tribune: Mr L Gladstone Derrick, who was born April 23, 1903, died as the result of a heart attack on January 28, 1962 at the age of 58. He was born at Tom's Creek, Va, the son of Webster and Elizabeth Henneger Derrick. Mr Derrick was a Justice of the Peace. He is survived by his wife Lucy Miller Derrick; daughter Patsy Wood of Newfound, GA; sons Jimmy of Paducah, Ky; Mike of Virginia, Illinois; Daniel F of Atlanta, Leon and Lyman of Clayton; brother Andrew W of Rome and sister Pauline Khoury of Springfield, NJ. Burial was in Roane Cemetery.
