Died from lead poisoning as a result of painting Fines Creek Memorial Baptist Church (Old). Harley was a Sunday School Teacher, Choir Leader and Coffin Maker.

The Waynesville Mountaineer, Nov 5, 1931: Saunook News, Mrs WF Allen of Fines Creek visited at the home of Mr WA Hill last week.

The Waynesville Mountaineer, Monday, May 27, 1968: Mrs. Sadie Clark Allen, 67, of Waynesville Route 1, died Friday afternoon in the Haywood County Hospital after a long illness. She was the widow of Wiley Allen who died in 1958. She is survived by nieces and nephews. Burial was in Red Bank Cemetery.

First Person buried in Woody Cemetery. The following story is from the Madison County Cemetery Book compiled under the direction of Ethel Meadows Kirkpatrick: "John and Sintha Seagle had a small child who was very ill. Sintha had a dream that the child died and was buried on the Woody Farm. A short time later the child died. She then told her husband about her dream and together they went to Mr. Nathan Woody and related the dream to him. He helped them choose the most beautiful hilltop of those on his farm and there the child, Horace Seagle, was buried. Thus began Woody Cemetery and the land was later donated for the purpose of a cemetery. Horace Seagle was buried 22 March 1903. There are two graves that pre-date that burial. These are Swan Burnett and Mary Elizabeth Plemmons Woody. Their grandson, Andy Nathan Woody, had their bodies removed to Woody Cemetery from the Old Flats of Spring Creek Cemetery and tombstones erected."
