      129. Marguerite Boudreau, born Abt. 1698 in Grande-Pre N.S; died May 15, 1767 in Memramcook New Brunswick. She was the daughter of 258. Claude Boudreau and 259. Anne Marie Thibodeau.

Biography

Francois born 1688 son of Jacques Leblanc and Cathrine Hebert, married Marguerite Boudrot in Grand Pre in 1712. Jacques son of Jacques was deported to Mass. in 1755 with his family. Jacques married Natalie Brault in 1758 while in Philadelphia, they traveled to St. Pierre Miquelon. Later, his wife Natalie married Pierre Leger. and moved to Memramcook, N.B. in 1785.

Francois died in Needham Mass in 1761. Marguerite with four sons and a daughter ,Simon and Marguerite being still in household ,were repatriated onto Miquelon near Newfoundland in 1763. In 1767 they moved to Memramcook, NB with the families of sons Charles & Francois.

Date of death is according to an inscription made on his gunpowder holder by his son Jacques--and is part of the collection at the Acadian Museum at Moncton University, Moncton ,New Brunswick
His widow Marguerite ,went to Miquelon in 1763 with four sons and one daughter where she eventually returned to Nova Scotia four years later.

The LeBlanc ,Charles LeBlanc and Pierre LeBlanc (Reg GP 16 September 1739 March 2 1752 and April 3 1744) This makes it clear Isabelle Dugas's husband belonged to Francois & Jacques LeBlanc's family.

Biographical note:
Francois LeBlanc and his wife (Marguerite Boudrot) with Simon & Elizabeth were at Shirley Point,Mass and at Needham Mass. in 1756. Francois LeBlanc's widow, Marguerite was at Boston on August 24, 1763 and then at Miquelon in 1767

Francois petitioned the Governor of the Massachusetts Bay to be removed from Point Shirley and move to needham Mass.
Francois wrote this letter to the Governor ; He wrote:
To his excellency the Governor , the hon'ble the Council and Representatives of the Provience of the Mass Bay.
Francois LeBlanc a poor french inhabitant of Accaday humbly shew that he and his family, five of which are men were placed at Port Shirley that they have with great difficulty supported themselves since the provision allowed by the Provience ceased, but now they cannot find work and they have a winter before them and no prospect of any opportunity of labour during that season and all necessaries of life are excessive dear, there and your petitioners family must perish with hunger and cold . Your petitioner has relations placed in the town of York and it is know to Colonel Donnell and Capt. Donell and has traded with them, and he thinks he could support his family .tho he is 63 years old and with the help of his sons and some little relief from thepublick and as there is but 8 french in that town he hoped there will be no exception and humbly prays he will be placed there with his family

He married in Grande-Pre Acadia Feb 24 1732 to Anne Flan .In 1755 Alexandre & Anne & their family were transported by the British to Maryland (British Colonies) Alexandre's son Rene & his wife Madeleine Boudreau ,who were married in Restigouche Nov 26,1759 were also taken from their homes in Restigouche in 1761 & held prisioners at Fort Cumberland. Rene & Madeleine later in Jan 28,1823 settled in Memramcook NB where Isabelle Landry & Joseph LeBlanc met & were married.
