John Thomas Bozeman and Alice Lorena Stephens of Ramer, Montgomery County, Alabama had my great grandmother Lorena Emma Bozeman and she married Charles Allen McClain in Ramer.

Ramer is barely a stones throw from Dublin where some are buried.  Only a few miles up the road is Pine Level, Pintlala and Hope Hull, yet still in Montgomery County.

A Rev War Patriot came here from Darlington South Carolina and his sons all named their boys John, Peter or Jesse  it seems so there are many to be found on census records.

The estate of Peter is also signed by his wife Sarah, or her X mark

If we carefully study the South Carolina War Archives we may find that there was a Peter Bozeman and a Peter Boseman listed on the same page, and leave us s                                                   scratching our heads.

Peter filed for pension for service in the South Carolina Continental line:

My cousins Wayne and Jimmy also have grandfathers named John but different ones and we all connect to William Henry, son of Peter and Sarah..  Notes and documents from the probate office and the archives have been shared and our family tree  continues to develop.

Finding one Sarah Bozeman at age 103

The only proof of our connection to Mordicai lies in the Reverend's book "Sketches"

William Henry Bozeman's son John Thomas married Nancy Kizer Hill and he was in the Civil WAr

Martha, widow of Wm Henry Bozeman. Children listed in Orphans Court and the Petition to Court that she could not sign and his brother Jesse was the administrator, and later we have Jesse's minor children listed in court. Martha was found listed as Martha H and so could she be a HILL?

On the 1850 census Martha and her children have moved away from Jesse, maybe they argued over the estate of her husband, or maybe she moved closer to her own family, but Peter is still living with her at this point.

is a webpage showing the graves of Jesse Bozeman born 1793 and his family in Hope Hull, Montgomery County, Alabama.
His daughter Lacy and her husband and several of their children have grave stones there.  Jesse had married twice and had been the administrator of his brother's ( William ) estate when Wm died.
There are many documents found in the Montgomery Archives.

Thomas and Lacy Bozeman Carter purchased land which was a portion of William Henry Bozeman's Estate.

There are tons of census images showing the trails and families of Bozeman from Virginia to the west coast, and many named their sons Peter, John, Jesse, James, Meady and their grandsons.

Samuel Bozeman Land Grant - do we connect? Let's consider the fact that many families had a dozen children and this Samuel could have been the brother of Mordecai, Gabriel, Jacob, Jesse, Peter and many others born in North Carolina about 1730 - 1740 and could all be the sons of the elder Samuel  or possibly Ralph from Maryland, because a younger Ralph also served in the Revolution, then consider Edward Bozeman from Maryland who settled there in the 1600s.  There was even a Medeah, Henry, Thomas, William found in 1700s North Carolina records so they must all connect in some way. Names which continued in my lineage.
