1. DAVID¹ FOLEY was born Abt. 1798 in County Cork, Ireland, and died 8 November 1849 in Bungin Bungin NSW (murdered). He married SARAH T ANDREWS 14 February 1823 in St. Mary's Sydney NSW BD&M V182376 127/1823 V182373 128/1823, daughter of THOMAS ANDREWS and FEBE TOUSTALL. She was born 1803 in Sydney NSW BD&M V18037564/1803, and died 26 January 1867 in St. Leonards NSW BD&M 3477/1867.

At the time of the 1841 census, David and Sarah were living at "Bungin" with two sons and five daughters. There were four assigned convicts. David Foley was appointd a constable, on the Sydney Police Establishment, on 3 July 1939. He resigned on 2 April 1842. In 1843 he was appointed to assist the Chief Constables in compiling electoral lists in the Police District of Sydney, beyond the Corporate Limits of the City.

Sentenced to transportation for life in 1817 for the offence of felony wounding.
