29. ROY HOWDEN⁴ STONER (MARY ANN³ HOWDEN, JOHN BALFOUR², WILLIAM¹) was born March 04, 1887 in Arkona, Lambton County, ON, and died September 18, 1946 in Arkona, Lambton County, ON. He married SARA EVANS August 30, 1911.

Source Data: The Stoner Family History was compiled and written by Cecil and Lena Stoner in 1974. Roy attended the School Section No. 6, which was located on the edge of their farm near Arkona, Lambton Co, Ontario. He then attended a business college in Toronto, Peel Co, Ontario. Roy and his wife were each delivered by the same doctor on the night of the 4th and 5th of March 1887. They operated the Morningstar Fruit Farm for several years near Arkona. Roy was troubled with asthma and a heart condition, which forced him to give up farming and move to Arkona. He also worked for a few years for the Marsh Egg Grading Station in Arkona. Roy was the choir leader in the Arkona Baptist Church and a member of the Stoner Quarterte. Roy and Sarah had five children: Gordon Roy Stoner, b. 25 Feb 1915, died of pneumonia on 23 Apr 1931; Bazil Evans Stoner, b. 16 Feb 1916 and died 20 Nov 1968; Donna Gertrude Meerburg, born 13 Jan 1923; Harold Clare Stoner, born 8 Oct 1929; and Dorothy Marguerite Marsh, born 13 Jun 1932. Roy was buried in the Arona Cemetery in Lambton County, Ontario.

30. ORVILLE ELIAS⁴ STONER (MARY ANN³ HOWDEN, JOHN BALFOUR², WILLIAM¹) was born March 14, 1891 in Arkona, Lambton Co, ON, and died December 31, 1958 in Blenheim, Kent Co, ON. He married MARY ROSS October 14, 1929 in Parkhill, Middlesex Co, ON.

Source Data: The Stoner Family history was written and compiled by Cecil & Lena Stoner in 1974. Orville attended the School Section No. 6, located on the edge of the family farm near Arkona. He farmed on the homestead with his brother Arthur, until Arthur's marriage in 1915. He then moved to Parkhill, Middlesex County, Ontario to join his brother Cecil in the jewelry business. He served on the town council and also sponsored a skating rink in Parkhill. In 1928 he started a jewellery business in Bothwell, and in October 14, 1929 he married Mary Ross, a teacher in Parkhill. In 1933 they moved their business to the larger town of Blenheim, Kent County. Orville played the violin and was also a member of the Stoner Quartette. Orville passed away very suddenly with a heart attack on New Years Eve December 31, 1958. His wife and son carried on the business and also have a farm near Clinton, Huron County, Ontario for recreation and relaxing. He was buried in Blenheim Cemetery.

31. BASIL H.⁴ WILLOUGHBY (JENNIE JANE BALFOUR³ HOWDEN, JOHN BALFOUR², WILLIAM¹) was born July 14, 1902 in Maple Rapids, Essex Township, Clinton Co, MI, and died December 07, 1975 in Sacremento, CA. He married MILDRED CATHERINE GMEINER September 02, 1933, daughter of JOSEPH GMEINER and ANNA HAYDEN.
