Albors is if catalan origin. The first house of the family was in Balaguer de Lerida. The surname Albors has its roots in the plural of the catalan word "albor" which in Spanish means "albur". Albur is the common name of a river fish which comes from the arabic word "buri", that comes from the egyptian city Bure. In the Middle Age a second name (surname) was established in order to distinguish between 2 persons with the same name. Albors surname was based in the type of work of the first bearer, which was the person who fished or sold "albures"
