Samuel Farnsworth (son of Thomas Farnsworth and Susannah Smith)475, 476, 477 was born 02 April 1683 in Mansfield, White Hill, Burlington, New Jersey478, 479, 480, and died Abt. 1747 in New Jersey481, 482, 483. He married Damaris Howard on 19 January 1708/09 in Chesterfield, Burlington County, New Jersey484.

His will was probated 2 December 1747, (at Chesterfield)he is called yeoman; his children were named. The executors of his will were his wife Damaris and his son Samuel.
He filled a number of Township offices, the last in 1735.
