Obituary - Dorothy V. Lovell (died Nov. 29 or Dec. 1, 1997)
Services for Dorothy V. Lovell, 85, of Killeen will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at East Side Baptist Church in Kileen with Dr. John C. Hallum officiating. Cremation will follow, and her ashes will be entombed in the Killeen Memorial Park Columbarium.
Mrs. Lovell died Sunday at a local hospital.
She was born July 4, 1912, in Wichita, Kan., to James and Ruby Wilhite. She was self-employed as a music teacher for most of her life. She played the organ and the piano for churches where she was a member. She moved to Killeen in 1993 from Harlingen and became a member of the East Side Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Gale L. Lovell of Killeen; a son, Gale R. Lovell of Killeen; two brothers, Roy B. Wilhite of Kansas City, Mo., and James P. Wilhite of Des Moines, Iowa; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Harper-Talasek Funderal Home in Killeen.

"Porter McKissick Dies Early Today
"Porter McKissick, 37, native Boone county farmer, died at his home on the William Dysart farm near Harg at 5:30 o'clock this morning. He had been ill three weeks.
"He is survived by his wife and seven children, Fern, Betty Sue, Dorothy, Josephine, Louise, Margaret and William, all of the home. Also surviving is his mother, Mrs. William McKissick, of Columbia, three brothers, Tom, Fred and James McKissick, and five sisters, Mrs. Josephine Wyatt, Mrs. Lizzie Yeager, Mrs. Flossie Roberts, Mrs. Helen Wood and Mrs. Frances Levacy, all of Boone County.

Betty Jane "B.J." Hadusek, 76, of Columbia passed away Friday, April 16, 2004, at Boone Hospital.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 22, at Parker Funeral Service, with the Rev. Frank Norman officiating.
Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
She was born Sept. 25, 1927, in Boone County, to Ira T. and Minnie L. Acton Cook.
She married Bernard E. Hadusek on July 19, 1952, and he preceded her in death in 1973. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Paris, Texas.
Mrs. Hadusek loved her family, kids and grandkids. She liked to do crafts, listen to music, read and watch old movies. She will be missed.
Survivors include a daughter, Carole Hadusek Ninemires of Paris, Texas; a son, Duke G. Hadusek and his wife, Dianne, of Columbia; four grandchildren, Jon Hadusek and Carlyn Hadusek of Columbia and Tom Lockwood and Minette Flanery of Paris, Texas; nine great-grandchildren, Tommy Lockwood, Mandy Lockwood, Jenny Lockwood, Zach Ford, Chelsee Ford, Kurtis Ninemires, Aaron Mackey, Ryan Mackey and Brandi Schultz, all of Paris, Texas; a brother, Elmer Carl Cook and his wife, Bernice, of Columbia; two sisters, Helen DeFranne of Oregon and Frances Westerfield of Arizona; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, two sisters, two nephews, a niece and a son-in-law.
