I am still tracing the mansfield family but what i can tell you is that they came from Camberwell in greator london England Alfred Mansfield was married in broken hill NSW Australia on the 16th may 1889 to Alice Jane Harvey.
Alfreds father William Mansfield was present at the wedding
They had 3 children at Broken hill
Alfred W 1891 Angelina E 1893 John F 1896 from there they moved to Kalgoorlie-Boulder perhaps looking to make his fortune on the goldfields they then had 3 more children(yet to be confirmed) Claude 1900 died at 6 months of age,Clyde 1901.
Clyde and the family then came to New zealand (unsure how they arrived at this stage) but landed in napier.
Alfred(1891) who went by the name of william married a Linda Jeffcoat, linda died in 1931 from TB and is buried in the Kopuatama Cemetery, William Mansfield died in 1964 and is buried in Wharerangi Cemetery, they had 7 children 6 girls Rene Mansfield Elaine Mansfield Pat Mansfield Una Mansfield Nola Mansfield Nelly Mansfield and one son who is kaye's father Lewis William Alfred Mansfield, who had three children Paul Kevin Mansfield, Dennis Bruce Mansfield, Kay Wendy Mansfield, Barry leslie Mansfield.
