A Family Gathering

About Our Family Research

Every year since I can remember we have a family reuion to celebrate my great-grandmother's birthday. It is always the first Sunday in June. Even though she has passed away, the tradition continues. This has interested me since a child and I now have a life-long desire to build my tree. I have the most information on my Swedish side of the family, but I will continue to seek for all sides of the tree. I try to not only learn about the past, but to bring the present in as well. I have a tree on paper that is about 30 ft in length. It has all of the information I have as well. I have family that has been in the states since before the Revolutionary War, as well as family that emigrated in the late 1800's. I find the history very facinating. Some of my family names include: Ahlstedt, Anderson, Ball, Lyon(Johnson in USA), Shipley, Fox, Wilson, Rue, Burkdoll, Ozbun, Shell, Schinn, Larrson, Hermansdotter, Qvick (Johnson in USA), & Andersdotter.
