The James family history has three confirmed (SAR/DAR)ancestor's (Samual Howard, Jesse Boling and William Cornett). One Ancestor, Samual Howard fought at Valley Forge with General Washington and was at Yorktown when Cornwalis surrendered. Another, John Combs arrived in JamesTown, VA in 1611 on the ship Marigold.

Wyatt Family surnames include (Partial list):

Van Ness
Hutton
Winslow

The Wyatt Family has one confirmed direct Mayflower ancestor, Mary Chilton Winslow who was on the original Mayflower arriving in 1620.

The Howard line is well established but the American link to their English counterparts hinges on one "Matthew Howard" and his relationship to the Duke of Norfolk's family. The Wyatt (Wiat or Woit) line has also been established except for 3 or 4 generations between 1550 and 1660.
