The Racine's and The LeFebvre's
This is dedicated to my wonderful
Uncle Dave and Aunt Ione for all
their help in my quest.
I love you both.
And a special thank you to my dear
cousin. You know who you are. Who was so kind to
share Grandma's photo album with me.
This is a work in progress so keep

The areas of Wisconsin that my family is from
are the following.
Leandre and Mary LeFebvre, Lena (Oconto County) Wisconsin
Emma LeFebvre and brothers and sisters born and raised in the Oconto area.
The Racine Family: Augustin came to Oconto County from St.Ursule Quebec, Canada. with his wife Delia. They had a large family including my Grandfather Norman Racine.
After Norman and Emma married. They moved to Mattoon,Shawano County,Wisconsin. Finally settling in Phlox, Langlade County, Wisconsin. Running a tavern there. My Father Robert took over the business and raised my 5 older siblings there but then we moved to Port Washington, Wisconsin, in the mid '60's. That is where I still live.

  This is Mildred Racine Menkins. She is the second eldest daughter of Norman and Emma Racine. Here she is pictured with her husband William.

• Ione Racine (18 KB)
  This is the 3rd eldest daughter of Norman and Emma Racine. Ione. She was married to Al Ponkow. They lived in Oregon for many years and just recently she moved to Washington state to be near her son.
• Emma Ruth LeFebvre (29 KB)
  This is my Grandmother as a young woman.
• Lucrece (Tess) Racine Morgan (10 KB)
  This is the 4th eldest daughter of Norman and Emma Racine. She was named Lucrece but everyone knew her as Tess. She was married to Thomas Morgan.
• Emma Ruth LeFebvre Racine (24 KB)
  This is my Grandmother when she was in her early 90's. She was a very dear lady. Love you Gram.

• The five daughters of Norman and Emma Racine (13 KB)
  These are the five daughters of Norman and Emma (LeFebvre) Racine. They all grew up in Phlox,Wisconsin. A little place southeast of Antigo. Norman ran a tavern there for many years as did my father Robert. The girls are as follows...clockwise from top center. Norma, Ione, Tess, Mary Jane, Mildred.
