BOAT MODELS REMIND HIM OF OLD PENNA. CANAL DAYS

Walt of 1360 Vernon Street who will be 93 on December 21 (1948) looks at models of the type craft he captained on old Central Pennsylvania waterways over a half century ago. Mr. Walt, who made the models, fashioned them exactly after one of the craft he piloted. The old canal boat captain spent some 30 years on the waterways between Nanticoke and Williamsport in the North to Columbia in the South.
