Ulysses S. Leslie born 19 December 1858 in Warren Co., IN., died 1 February 1934 in Fort Scott, Burbon Co., KS. Married Nancy Caroline Barkley 5 May 1887 at Bear Creek, Cedar Co., MO.
Annie Leslie b. ? d. ? married 17 April 1887 ? Clevenger

The following obituaries were taken from a newspaper published in Fort Scott, Kansas in January of 1934. Unfortunately they were clipped from the newspapers in 1934 and only the obituaries were clipped.

U. S. Leslie Rites.
Services held at the Cheney Chapel Sunday Afternoon.
U. S. Leslie, of 1604 East Oak St. passed away Friday, February 1 at 7:30 P.M. at his residence. Death was caused by heart trouble. He had been seriously ill for the past ten days.
Mr. Leslie was born in Indiana on December 19, 1848 and was 76 years of age. He had resided in this immediate vicinity for the past 35 years. His parents were Mr. and Mrs. David Leslie.
His wife before their marriage, which took place in Cedar county, Missouri in 1887 was Nancy C. Barkley.
Besides his wife, he is survived by the following children: Claude Leslie, Eureka, Kansas; Mrs. Bertha Ferris, Kansas City, Mo.: Mrs. Maude Ingle, Okmulgee, Oklahoma; Mrs. Ella Jones, of Fort Scott; Thanie Leslie, of Fort Scott; Harry Leslie of Fort Scott. He is also survived by a brother, Sam Leslie of Columbus, Kansas and a sister Mrs. Annie Clevenger, of Visala, California.
The remains were taken to the Cheney undertaking establishment, where they will lie in state until the time of the funeral.
The services will be held Sunday, February 3 at 2:00 P.M. from the Cheney Chapel.
Burial will be made at the Clarksburg cemetery.

Leslie Rites Sunday

The funeral services for U. S. Leslie, who passed away Friday, February 1, at 1604 East Oak St. were held Sunday at 2:00 p. m. from the Cheney chapel, conducted by the Rev. H. H. Jones of Valeda, Kansas. assisted by the Rev. S. O. Jones of this city.
Burial was made at the Clarksburg cemetery. The following served as pall bearers: Emmett Lyle, Boyd Thompson, Ab Crady, West Hall, Ward Larkin and Polly Milburn.
