Gibson, Ms. Willa Deane, age 65, a native of Birmingham and resident of Mobile, died Friday, September 8, 2000 at her residence.
Ms. Gibson is survived by her two daughters, Pamela Gibson Hoeppner of Louisville, KY, and Janet Marie Gibson of New Orleans, LA; two sons, Gregory K. Gibson of New Orleans, LA, and Larry M. Gibson of Mobile; one sister, Gladys Kennedy Street of Bristol, TN; one aunt, Grace Harris Stewart of Muscle Shoals; five grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She is the daughter of the late Olive Harris Kennedy and William M. Kennedy.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2000 from 11:00 A.M.-1:00 P.M. from JohnsRidout‘s Elmwood Chapel with services to follow at 1:00 P.M. Interment will be held in Elmwood Cemetery. Pallbearers for the funeral service will be: Randy Street, Steve Street, Sherman Stewart, Cliff Stewart, Jay Davis, and Bill Hatcher.
Arrangements by Johns-Ridout‘s Elmwood Chapel (205-251-7227).

William Gene 'Bill' Kennedy
65, Housing Authority retiree
Funeral for William Gene "Bill" Kennedy, 65, of Decatur will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. W.L. Cole officiating.
Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight and Thursday night from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mr. Kennedy died Tuesday, July 25, 2000, at home. He was born Oct. 20, 1934, in Bessemer to William M. Kennedy and Olive Harris Kennedy. An Army veteran, he was a maintenance man for Decatur Housing Authority before retiring. He was a member of BPOE Lodge No. 655, Masonic Lodge of Decatur, Veterans of Foreign Wars No. 4190, Eagles Lodge of Decatur and Cahaba Shrine Temple of Huntsville.
He is survived by two sons, William G. "Billy" Kennedy Jr. of Falkville and Jeff Kennedy of Ryan; two daughters, Wanda Gene Zerbee of Lanesville, Ind., and Teri Watson of Hartselle; two sisters, Gladys Street of Bristol, Tenn., and his twin, Deanie Gibson of Mobile; and six grandchildren.
Members of BPOE Lodge No. 655 will be pallbearers.
