BOAZ - Desser Cahela, 96, of Boaz died Tuesday at a Gadsden nursing home. The graveside service was held today at 11 a.m. at Forrest Home Cemetery.
Carr Funeral Home of Boaz is in charge of burial.
Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Umphrey of Boaz and Margrie Wrenn of Crossville; two sons, B.J. Cahela of Geraldine and Wayne Cahela of Boaz; and 24 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
