William Gene 'Bill' Kennedy
65, Housing Authority retiree
Funeral for William Gene "Bill" Kennedy, 65, of Decatur will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. W.L. Cole officiating.
Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight and Thursday night from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mr. Kennedy died Tuesday, July 25, 2000, at home. He was born Oct. 20, 1934, in Bessemer to William M. Kennedy and Olive Harris Kennedy. An Army veteran, he was a maintenance man for Decatur Housing Authority before retiring. He was a member of BPOE Lodge No. 655, Masonic Lodge of Decatur, Veterans of Foreign Wars No. 4190, Eagles Lodge of Decatur and Cahaba Shrine Temple of Huntsville.
He is survived by two sons, William G. "Billy" Kennedy Jr. of Falkville and Jeff Kennedy of Ryan; two daughters, Wanda Gene Zerbee of Lanesville, Ind., and Teri Watson of Hartselle; two sisters, Gladys Street of Bristol, Tenn., and his twin, Deanie Gibson of Mobile; and six grandchildren.
Members of BPOE Lodge No. 655 will be pallbearers.

Funeral for Kenneth W. Teague, 63, of Danville will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Valley Grove Baptist Church at Speake with the Rev. Wayne Turner officiating and Roselawn Funeral Home directing.
Burial will be in Morris Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.
Mr. Teague died Saturday, Dec. 2, 2000, at Parkway Medical Center. He was born March 22, 1937, in Decatur, to Tennis Teague and Mattie Teague, and was the former owner and operator of Teague Quick Stop Muffler. He was also a computer operator for Decatur Transit and a member of Valley Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Fran Teague; three sons, Jimmy Teague, John Teague and Joel Teague, all of Decatur; two stepsons, William Gene Kennedy Jr. of Falkville and Jeffrey Dean Kennedy of Joppa; one stepdaughter, Teri Watson of Hartselle; his mother, Mattie Teague of Decatur; four brothers, Junior Teague of Fort Worth, Herbert Teague and Cleo Teague, both of Decatur, and Charles Teague of Priceville; two sisters, Fay Hughes of Decatur and Lounette Husk of Omaha.
Members of the Benevolent Protective Order of the Elks Lodge No. 655 will be pallbearers.
