Let us not forget Staff Sergeant Willard Russell Knippers, casualty of the Vietnam War. As a member of the Marine Corps, SSG Knippers served our country until September 1st, 1967 in Thua Thien, South Vietnam. He was 37 years old and was not married. Willard died from artillery fire. His body was recovered. Willard was born on July 12th, 1930 in Magnolia, Arkansas. SSG Knippers is on panel 25E, line 078 of the Veterans Memorial Wall in Washington D.C. He served our country for 14 years.
