Major Allan Anderson Aitken was born on 15 September 1887.1 He was the son of Reverend William Cuthbert Aitken and Jane Noble.1 He married Phyllis Osler, daughter of Gordon Osler, on 31 October 1929.1 He died on 23 January 1959 at age 71.1
Major Allan Anderson Aitken also went by the nick-name of Bud.1 He fought in the First World War.1 He gained the rank of Major in the service of the HQ Staff, 4th Canadian Division.1 He fought in the Gallipoli Campaign in 1915, where he was wounded. He wrote the book Military Cross (M.C.).1 He was a stockbroker, dealing in securities for his brother, Lord Beaverbrook.1
