The oldest document of my family I found in the "LUEBECKER URKUNDENBUCH" and it is dated 31.Jan. 1436 without a first name, some generations before Amerika was discovered. The next documents I found in the "Landbede in der Vagedie Greuesmollen anno XIX" = "Landbede in der Vogtei Grevesmühlen 1519" already 5 KRULLS with first names : Hans, Titke, Titke, Hans, Reymer. The first document was from the squire Bernd von PLESSE and still in 1700 was a KRULL administrator for the knights VON PLESSEN.I could not tie together until now the old KROWEL * about 1374,KROULL *1425 and KRUL in Luebeck, CRULLIGUS *1277 in Wismar, KRUL *1305 in Wittenburg, KRUL *1348 in Malchin. In the taxlists 1519 - 1585 are about 50 different KRULL spread all over Mecklenburg< Dr. Hans WITTE, Archivar 1906 >.Until beginning of the Churchbooks it is almost only to say, who is the father or uncle,if there is nothing else determinatet. My family has about 300 members researched, another Crull family has also about 300 members, I have about 3500 other Krulls from Mecklenburg and northern Germany in my computer. Since Sept 17.2002 I have my dates posted at <http://Gedbas.genealogy.net/>, but I intend to post the dates and trees with the sources here, too, with a better possibility to compare for you. Regional research: I add always the ZIP - Codes to the places. When you enter only the ZIP-Code as follows,e.g. D 19089 without any familyname, you get all my families in that district. For wider regional research you ca do it also with D 19. If you want to see only families from Crivitz you put in D 19089 Crivitz. A map with the first 2 numbers of German ZIP - Codes : http://www.informatik.uni-stuttgart.de/menschen/ako/plz_brd.gif You also can use wildcards for seeking one of several given names: First name : %Joachim% Familyname Krull you will get all, e.g. Friedrich Joachim Hans Krull, too.
