"Andrew Lautermilch, of Delaware township, died on the 2d inst, at the age of 76 years, 6 months, and 26 days. He was born, baptized, confirmed, and married in Halifax township, Dauphin County, PA. Mrs. Lautermilch's maiden name was Lucy Countryman. She died in 1876. There were four children, a son who entered the army and died shortly afterwards, and three daughters, Mrs. Henry Kamerer, deceased, Mrs. Ludwig Kamerer, and Mrs. Oliver T. Fetterhoff, who survive to mourn the loss of their aged father.
Andrew Lautermilch moved with his family to Mercer County in 1858 and settled on the farm on which he spent the rest of his life. He became a member of St. John's Reformed church at that time, and lived a devoted Christian life to the end of his days. He was a good man, honored and loved by all who knew him. He entered into rest peacefully and gladly. The interment was in Delaware cemetery, and the services were in charge of his pastor, Dr. Lady, assisted by Rev. H. G. Crow, of New Hamburg."
