Notes for WILLIAM LAKE:

Nancy was the daughter of John Linn. William, Nancy, John and John's wife and daughter are all buried in an open pasture field about one half mile from the Hebron Baptist Church on Glady Creek, near Fairmont, West Virginia.

17. ILA³ LAKE (GEORGE B.², WILLIAM¹) was born May 27, 1819, and died May 21, 1862 in Fairmont, WV. He married SARAH TUCKER October 29, 1835 in Monongalia County, WV, daughter of HENRY TUCKER and ANN LINN.

Notes for ILA LAKE:
They were married by Rev. John Curry on October 29, 1835. George lived all his life on Glady Creek, near Fairmont, West Virginia. Gibson and William moved to Kansas in the late 1880's. Ila Lake was a farmer.

The following paragraph was taken from The Linn Family History:

Ann Linn, daughter of William Linn I (born January 30, 1734, died december 23, 1808) and Isabella Gibson Linn, married Henry Tucker. Their marriage bond was dated December 21, 1816 and was filed at Morgantown. At that time there were no licenses issued by Virginia courts, but persons intending to marry were required to give a bond in the sum of $150 with approved security, and these bonds were filed with the clerk of the county courts. In the case of Ann Linn and Henry Tucker, the court file reads: "Henry Tucker and Ann Linn, daughter of William Linn, Bond. Securities William Tucker." They had one child, Sarah Tucker, who married Ila Lake.
