He married (1) BETTY THOMPSON. He married (2) JUDITH ?. He married (3) VINA MCVAY.

The following obituary was published in The Times-West Virginian on Wednesday, March 24, 1982:

Edwin M. Lake, 57, of 824 Eighth Avenue, New Brighton, Pennsylvania, died Monday evening in the Medical Center of Beaver County, Beaver, Pennsylvania where he had been a patient for five days. He was born August 10, 1924 in Fairmont, a son of the late Emmet and Marie Shuttlesworth Lake.

He had resided in Beaver County for 28 years and had been employed in the maintenance department of McDanel Refractory for 16 years. He took a disability retirement in 1981. He was the manager of little league baseball in the New Brighton area for 10 years. During World War II, he served with the U.S. Marines.

Survivors include his widow, Vina McVay Lake; two sons: Edwin Lake Jr., New Brighton; Terry Wayne Lake, at home; a daughter, Tawnya Ann Lake, at home; one grandson, Jason; one brother, Bernard Lake, Fairmont. One son, Daniel and two brothers, Kenneth and Carl Lake, are deceased. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Campbell's Funeral Home, New Brighton. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. The Rev. Donald MacNeil, pastor of the Church of the Nazarene in New Brighton will officiate. Burial will be in Sylvania Hills Cemetery in Rochester, Pennsylvania.

Jackie was a graduate of the Rivesville High School (WV) class of 1943.

Donna and Buddy have no children.

Donna Borzi, one of my favorite cousins (author, Lawrence Rex Lake), lost her three year battle with cancer on November 23, 1996. She died at the Hospice of Northern Virginia. She worked as an administrative assistant for Software A.G. of North America and had lived in Fairfax, Virginia for 25 years before relocating to Fredericksburg, Virginia where she and Buddy had built a new home just three years ago.

The funeral services were on November 26, 1996 at the Mullins and Thompson Funeral Home in Fredericksburg and she was buried in the Oak Hill Cemetery in the same city.

Joe was the son of Reason Lindsay and Delilah Tennant Sine. He worked 19 years at the Fairmont Box Company, 15 years for a Morgantown (WV) ordinance firm and one year for Westinghouse. He served in the U.S. Army in World War II, was a member of the American Legion and the VFW, a former member of the Rivesville Lions Club and was previously active in the Cub Scouts.

Edith Helen Musgrave, 74, of Rivesville, died Saturday September 15, 2001 at her residence. She was born July 29, 1927 in Grant Town, daughter of the late Wayne G. and Vonnie Lena Callihan Lake. She was a homemaker and a Protestant by faith. She is survived by her husband, Robert Monroe Musgrave; two daughters and their companions, Helen McCoy and Rick Preston of Huntington and Kathy Summers and Rick Morgan of Prickett's Creek community; one sister, Betty L. Sine of Rivesville; four grandchildren, R. Scott Cunningham, Tonya C. Carpenter, Ron E. Cunningham and Courtnie J. Summers and four great-grandchildren: Justin Cunningham, Craig Cunningham, Ashley Taylor Carpenter and Cody Carpenter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepmother, Pearle Tennant Lake, one grandson, James R. "Jamie" Cunningham and one sister, Laverna L. "Jackie" Tennant. Friends may call at the Ford Funeral Home, DeGarmo Chapel in Rivesville Monday from 2-3 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Private graveside committal services will be conducted at Oaklawn Cemetery in Rivesville with Frank Spevock officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the M.V.A. Hospice of Marion County.
