Mrs. Hayden Bowen of Roxton died in McCuiston Regional Medical Center at 9:20 a.m. Saturday.

Services are set for 4 p.m. Monday at the First United Methodist Church of Roxton. Burial will be in Roxton Cemetery.

Mrs. Bowen will lie in state at the church from 3-4 p.m. Monday.

The family will receive friends at the Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday.

She was born July 18, 1879 in Bell County. She was the daughter of the late John F. Landers and Mahala Nail. She attended public schools Lunenburg, Ark. She married G.M. Bowen at Roxton in 1901. He died Dec. 16, 1936. She lived in Roxton all of her married life. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Roxton and was a member of the Women's Bible Class.

She is survived by: three daughters, Mrs. Mabel Chancelor of Dallas, Mrs. J. E. Batchellor of Haynesville, Ark., and Miss Alice Bowen of Roxton; two sons, Bob Bowen of Hemet, Calif., and Robert Shelton Bowen of San Ramon Ramon, Calif.; one sister Mrs. Geneva Walker of Amarillo; two brothers, Jack Landers of Amarillo and E. G. Landers of Roxton; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
