My Father and I are busy researching our family tree. We have been able to trace all the way back to 1203 on his Father's, Father's side.

We have met and received help from several distant cousins in Georgia and Michigan (Thank you, Gwen and Vernie). Our cousin in Massachusetts, wrote the biography of Adam Nichols. (Thank you Herb!:>)

I am a member of the DAR...Cactus Wren Chapter of Chandler Arizona. We have found many more direct revolutionary war ancestors on other family lines in addition to Adam Nichols. He is my GGGG Grandfather--he crossed the delaware with George Washington.

My roots are mainly Scottish. I am very proud of my heritage. I am the Arizona Games Commissioner for Clan MacNicol.

Clan MacNicol is a very ancient Highland Clan from the Isle of Skye. Their claim to fame: In 1316--King Edward the Bruce of Ireland (brother of Robert the Bruce of Scotland) was under siege by the English; King Edward II. Chief MacNeacail sent five ships carrying hundreds of Spearmen. They thwarted the English's attempt to take over Northern Ireland. The MacNicol Spearmen are credited with saving the Bruce's crown. That event is commemorated on the MacNicol Coat of Arms.
