As I approach my grand parents ages I become more interested in our family history. In conversations with my sisters and cousins we have all reached the same period in our lives and I want to share with them information that I have received either from our mother Helen Lee or from my aunts and cousins especially Laurita who shared this deep passion. Laurita, before her death sent me the Descendants of Arien Pieterse Buys which may have been our patriarch but I have yet to confirm this on my own. I do have a copy of an old will written by John Duke who I believe was the grandfather of Minerva there is much yet to learn.
