Frieda Meserve (Peaslee)

This is a photo of Frieda with her playmates at the Charlestown State Prison Yard. She is dotted with red on her shirt collar. Frieda's father worked at the Charlestown Prison and the officers families would live at the site as well. The prison yard would appoint an older child to arrange games for the children. My grandmother (Frieda) spoke of fond memories. "Oh what fun we had there."
