The main information that I have is on my maternal grandmother's side of the family. Here is what I would like to find out about the rest of the family (actually, this is what I know of them).
On my fathers side I have my fathers parents names, dates, and where they were from, but that's all. I don't know anything else about either side of his family.

His fathers name was Harry SCHNEIDER. He was born June 10, 1902, and died November 24, 1974. He married Sarah Amelda DOUBLEDAY. Harry's fathers name was Otto Herman SCHNEIDER. He was born in 1859, died September 26, 1926 and married Katherine KLEE. that's all the information I have on the SCHNEIDER side. Any other information would be greatly appreciated.

On the GRUNNER side, I have this: my grandfather's name was Louis GRUNNER. He was born in Drava Peski (not sure of the spelling) Hungary December 2, 1903 and he married Evelyn ACKERMAN(lots of info there). They were married in the united states. My granfather (Louis) came to America around 1924. My mother said he arrived here when he was 21. He arrived at Ellis Island. *SEE UPDATED INFORMATION BELOW

I know that his father's name was Alexander GRUNNER and he married Anna FURBACHER, but that's as far as I get.

The only other information that I have is that my Grandfather (Louis) and my Grandmother (Evelyn) were first cousins.
This has become one of the worst dead ends that I have.

The main surnames are: GRUNNER, ACKERMAN, SCHNEIDER, FULLER, FAULKNER and tons more.

I don't have much information on my paternal side (practically nothing), and there isn't more on my mother's father's side, but I have alot of information on my maternal grandmother's side. Have fun with these pages and if there is any information that you would like to have me share with you, just e-mail me and let me know.

I've just been looking at the Ellis Island Web site and found out some more information on my Grand Father, Louis Grunner. I will update this page soon with the added information. Needless to say, I was not looking for the correct first name on the ships manifests. I also found his mother and his sister listed on ships manifests. I'll update as soon as time allows.

I visited http://www.ellisisland.org and was doing a routine search for my Grandfather, Louis Grunner. My mother had told me he arrived here when he was 21 and it was on the Fourth of July.

When I was searching, I couldn't find anything on a Louis Grunner, so I used just his last name and hit paydirt. His first name was listed as Lajos (the Hungarian for Louis). I looked at the ships manifest to verify information. I also found his Mother, Anna Grunner and his Aunt Teresa Grunner (her name was spelled Terej). I looked at the ships manifest of all 3 people and was amazed at the information that I found. Now that I know another name by which my grandfather came to this country with, I can search around some more.

Anyone who has heard of ancestors coming to American through Ellis Island should really check this site out. It's amazing. I even have pictures of the ship they travelled on.
