A very comprehensive biography of James Thompson was written in 1988 by Mary Randolph Wilson Kelsy and her husband, Dr. Mavis Parrott Kelsey. Over 500 pages of information about this ancestor. Much of the information about the family from Mary Ann Thompson Terrill on back was based on information from this book and combined with Census Data, Cherokee Records, and our own family history.
