Ancestors of Jennifer Ruth McKillip

Generation No. 5

      16. Dennis Carney McKillip105,106, born Bet. Jun 1851 - May 1852 in WI107,108; died 18 Sep 1891 in Chicago, Cook, IL109. He was the son of 32. McKillip and 33. <Unnamed>. He married 17. Mary Henry Jones.

      17. Mary Henry Jones110,111, born Bet. Jun 1855 - May 1856 in NY112; died Aft. Sep 1891113. She was the daughter of 34. Jones and 35. <Unnamed>.

Notes for Dennis Carney McKillip:
In the 1880 Cook County, IL census, Dennis was enumerated at 271 Morgan Street. In the same building and living nearby were Robert Eary (a teamster) and John McEvoy (a printer). There was also a Freter Edstron visiting during the enumeration. She was 42 and either widowed or divorced at the time. She lists New York as her birthplace but her father was from Sweden. More research is needed to determine if she related to Dennis or Mary.

Dennis is buried in Section F, Division 4, Lot 332, Location 4 1/2 N. His interment number is #34280.

Notes for Mary Henry Jones:

I found a Mary H. MacKillip in the 1900 Cook County, IL US census listed as the superintendent of a "Balm of Gilhead Home" (unsure of first word). The location is 466 North Clark Street. Her birth dates look right and it lists her as a widow. Her parents' birth places are listed as both NY. In the 1880 US census, Mary lists her parents' birth places as both Ireland. Perhaps some research at the Chicago Historical Society will bring some more info to light.

Notes for Adam Bauld:

In the 1900 Cook County, IL census, Mary states that she was a widow but that she was married what appears to be 39 years. Does this mean that Adam died in 1896 based on marriage record?
