John eventually settled in the Kutztown, Pennsylvania area, where he was apparently neighbors of the Kieffer family. It is not known if John and Elizabeth had other children besides Elizabeth - probably they did. These are the words on the baptismal certificate of their daughter, Elizabeth. no doubt translated from German: " To these two married people, namely John Frederic Bieber and his married wife Elizabeth whose maiden name was Kifferin, a daughter has been born on the 29th of September, 1773 and baptized by the Christian minister Lehman, and received the name Elizabeth from her godmother, Elizabeth Bieber. She was born in America, in the state of Pennslyvania, in the county of Berks, in the township of Macedonia. The sponsors were John Bieber and his wife Elizabeth." Daniel Lehman was one of the early pastors of St. John's Lutheran Church in Kutztown. John Bieber, the sponsor, was apparently a son of a first cousin of John Bieber. Elizabeth's father was Abraham, who was born in Germany. She had a brother named Dewalt.
