The März & Sperl Family History

About Our Family Research


This Family History site is dedicated to the descendants of George März and his wife Barbara Sperl who were born in the Austrian-Hungarian Empire of Bohemia. They were married in 1875 and had 9 children of which 7 survived and had families. The two eldest daughters immigrated to America in the 1890's and both were married with children by the time their parents followed in 1903. Only Johann stayed back and lived in Germany after WWI. George, Barbara and four children emigrated to Minnesota and settled in the German-Bohemian community of Springfield in Brown County. Their children were:

Mary März,(1878-1968)m. Andrew Mack and had 6 children;
Barbara März,(1979-1962)m. Anton Lindmeier and had 6 children;
Johann März,(1882-aft 1968)m. Mildred and had 3 daughters; Katherine März,(1884-1971)m. Joseph Rummel and had 5 children;
Frank März,(1887-1980)m. Anna Uble and had 7 children;
Anna März,(1893-1938)m. Frank Wenisch and had 3 children;
Margaret März,(1897-1978)m. Ray Jordan and had 7 children.
