Grace B. Higgerson, 80, died Tuesday, May 4, 1982 at her home in Denmark. Born July 12, 1901 in Campbell Hill, she was the daughter of the late Sim and Emma (Sandusky) Cottom. On Aug. 08, 1920, she married John Higgerson who preceded her in death on Oct. 29 1966. She was a member of the
Denmark Baptist Church. Surviving are a son, Lawrence Higgerson of Granite City; a daughter, Mrs. Beulah Kettler of Belleville, four brothers, Bill Cottom of Maquon, Walter Cottom of Campbell Hill, Earl Cottom of Knoxville, and Harold Cottom of Oneida: two sisters, Lula Higgerson of Pinckneyville and Ruth Bultemeier of Avon, six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband, a daughter and a daughter in infancy, preceded her in death.
