58. JOHN DAVID8 SAPP (DAVID7, SAMUEL6, ROBERT5, BENJAMIN4, HENRY3, JOHN2, JOHN1) was born October 15, 1846, and died February 28, 1933. He married ZELPHIA GRAYBEAL November 23, 1865, daughter of ELI GRAYBEAL and MARY MCGUIRE. She was born July 27, 1848, and died June 02, 1928.

He was a dealer of general merchandise and country produce and a farmer. Both are buried in the the Sapp Cemetery.

James Sapp was known as "Little Jimmy" and he moved his family to Adair County, Kentucky in the early 1900's. Both are buried in Barnett's Creek Cemetery.

  Notes for PHEOBE ISABEL SAPP:
She was killed by a streetcar on Christmas, 1906 in Portland, Oregon. It was believed that she and her husband walked in front of the streetcar to avoid being hit by another streetcar. They had just returned to Portland from a visit with her parents in Woodburn. Her husband of five years was injured. She had no children, and is buried in Rose Cemetery.

In Alexander Sapp's Probate, they had listed as one of his heirs, a Mrs. R. H. Halleson, Duluth, Minnesota. It is believed that this was Rhoda. She died in Oregon State Hospital and her burial permit was signed by G(us) E. Quady. There were no children.
