|

The four daughters of Michael J. Hart and Sara May MacLeod: Left to right, Sally (Hart) Astle, Margaret Hart, Jean (Hart) Parry and Mary (Hart) Donovan, 18 Belknap Street, Dedham, MA. Sara May, born in Boston, in 1884, was the daughter of Samuel D. MacLeod and Euphemia Margaret MacIsaac. Shortly after her mother died in 1890, Sara May, with her father, two of her brothers, Neil and Dan, and probably two twin sisters, Isabelle and Mary Ann, went to live in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia. For a portion of the time, she lived with MacFarlane relatives on their farm in Margaree Harbour. After an extended period, when she was about 18, Sara May returned to the Boston States as did her father, brothers and sisters.
