Lee (changed from Longbottom) in US from 1840's onwards

Updated November 9, 2000

About Our Family Research

Henry Longbottom and family (except John W Longbottom) emigrated from Halifax, UK., to US in mid-19th century. He died in Leclaire, Iowa in 1856. His family changed their name to Lee (authority the legislature of the Territory of Colerado). Some stayed in Iowa, others moved to California. I have a table of his descendants - possibly not complete - until mid-1970's. I also have antecedants in UK going back to 17th century. I also have table of descendants of John W Longbottom, who stayed in UK, complete to 1970's and in part to present. Descendants names in US include Breese,Burke,Cox,Craig,Elliott,English,Gadsden, Gould,Gray,Haskett,Hileman,Howard,Keil,Lee,Lewenberg,Longbottom,
Martin,McKee,Ng,Oliver,Rizzolo,Sheldon,Shupe,Stevens,Stinton,
