Joshua Edward Miller married Nancy Barnes 11 June 1859 in Bibb County, AL. They had 12 children: James (T. or Buchanan); Sennie (Melcenia Loretta) who married Phillip Jackson Ellis; Callie (Caledonia Ellen) who married James Luke Shaw and stayed in Alabama; Pauline (Polly or Mollie) who married 1) Gideon Shaw, James' brother, 2) unknown Talley and also stayed in Alabama; Rosanna (Rosie), who married James Williams; Robert W., who married Jennie Taylor, and had 4 sons: Emmitt, Alfred, Herman or Cecil, and Fred; Cora Adella, who married John Baucom; Nancy; Jane; Ida, who married 1) Frank Eudaly, 2) Archie Jordan; John Pulaski; and Jacob Jackson (Jake). Nancy and Jane were unknown to Roy Miller, so I suspect they may have died in childhood or remained with their sisters in Alabama.

  This one has only been identified as a sister of Callie (Miller) Shaw. It is badly faded. It was taken by J. W. Rhea studio, Wortham and Kosse, Tex.

  This was taken on the occasion of Robert and Jennie (Taylor)'s 50th Wedding Anniversary. L-R: Emmitt, Alfred, Herman, and Fred.
• Jim Miller and his wife, Jessie (135 KB)
  This is unmistakeably James T. Miller taken much earlier than the other photo. Although he was known to be a lifelong bachelor, the young lady has been identified as his wife, Jessie. She must have died young, perhaps in childbirth.

  This photo is identified as Robert Miller, but I think he looks more like James T. (Jim).
