He married WILLIE INEZ SIDES August 29, 1933 in Terral, Oklahoma. She was born June 29, 1910 in Dekalb, Texas, and died May 10, 2002 in Chandler, Oklahoma.

W.E. "Bill" Mayberry
W.E. 'Bill' Mayberry was born on August 6, 1911 in Tuttle, OK and
departed this life in Chandler, Oklahoma on March 13, 2002 at the age of
90 years. Bill was the son of Homer and Louise (Stone) Mayberry. He
was a resident of Chandler, OK. After graduating from High School at
Terral, OK in 1929, he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps and served until
1933. That same year he married Inez Sides in Norman, OK. In 1942,
during WWII he was commissioned as an officer for the 11th Airborne
Division and remained until the end of the war. In 1946 he joined the
Oklahoma Highway Patrol and in 1950 was called back into military
service during the Korean Conflict. In 1952 he returned to the Patrol. Bill
rose to the top of every endeavor including Eagle Scout, Southern District
of Oklahoma Chief of OHP, Commissioner of Public Safety and retired as
Brigadier General from the military. He was the most revered leader to
every man that followed him whether on the streets of America or on the
battlefields around the world, a man of great honor and respect. Bill's
greatest treasure was his loving wife, Inez. He surrendered to his Lord and
Savior as Confessed in his own words. His parents and one sister
preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife: Inez Mayberry of the
home; two sons: Ed Mayberry, Meeker, OK, Randall Mayberry, Sapulpa,
OK; one daughter: Betty Matheson, Chandler, OK; 8 grandchildren; 13
great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, March
16, 2002 at 11:00 A.M. at the Star Valley Cemetery in Chandler with
Jerry Matheson officiating. Services are under the direction of Parks
Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.

Willie Inez Mayberry
Willie Inez Mayberry was born in DeKalb, Texas on June 29, 1910 and
ascended into the glory of her Lord and Savior on May 20, 2002
surrounded by adoring family members at her home near Chandler,
Oklahoma at the age of 91 years. Inez was the daughter of William James
and Bettie Algerane (Skidmore) Sides. She has lived a quality life for over
92 years. She married William (Bill) Mayberry on August 29, 1933 in
Norman, Oklahoma. Theirs was a love affair, bound by God that was an
inspiration to all who knew them. At the time of Bill's death, just two
months ago, they had been married 68 years. Her main goal was taking
good care of her husband, children, grandchildren and the rest of the
family. All of her grandchildren and others that were around her later in life
called her 'Nannie'. Her parents, husband, four sisters and one brother
have preceded her in death. Survivors include: two sons: Edward
Mayberry of Meeker, OK, Randall Mayberry of Sapulpa, OK; one
daughter, Betty Matheson of Chandler, OK; eight grandchildren; thirteen
great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; other relatives and
many friends. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2002 at
11:00 A.M. at the Star Valley Cemetery near Chandler, Oklahoma, with
the Rev. Rickey Musgrove officiating, under the direction of the Parks
Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.
