Marriage of Miss Alice McMullen and William d. Atkinson, of Detroit

Miss Alice McMullen and William d. Atkinson, of Detroit, Mich., were quietly married at St Patrick's church yesterday morning at 9 o'clockRev. T. F. Galligan, pastor of the church, performed the ceremony in the presence of fifty relatives and intimate friends. The bride wore ivory satin duchesse with corsage drapery of point lace. Her tulle veil, which was fastened by a diamond pin, the groom's gift fell to the edge of the sweeping train, and she carried an ivory-bound prayer book. Miss Mary McMullen attended her sister as maid of honor. She wore turquoise blue crystal silk, with...sleeves and lace bertha, and carried...Mermet roses. Walter F. Beyer...man, and the ushers were f. ....William Carroll, Thomas...and William t. McMullen.
...reception followed the ceremony..home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. James McMullen, 90 Center avenue. The house was prettily decorated with varicolored roses and palms, the dining room being in green and white. Tomaso'smandlin orchestra played behind a screen of palms in the hall. Daniel Francis O'Connell, being first duly sworn, according to law, deposes and says that he is the Daniel Francis O'Connell (sometimes known as Jerome F. O'Connell) who resides at Number 2034 Harvard Street, in the City of Chicago, in the County of Cook and State of Illinois, that he is the same Daniel Francis O'Connell named in the last will and testament of ellen M. O'Connell, deceased, late of the county of cook and State of Illinois: that he is the same Daniel Francis O'Connell who was one of the administrators of the estated of said Ellen M. O'Connell deceased.
Deponent further avers that he is the brother of John William O'Connell one of the heirs at law of said Ellen M. O'Connell deceased: that said John William O'Connelland deponent were the children and heirs at law, and only heirs at law of said Ellen M. O'Connell, deceased.

Deponent further avers that he is, and for many years has been personally acquainted with Mary Dorgan, now aged ninety three years, who resides at 2034 Harvard Street, in the City of Chicago: that said Mary Dorgan resides with deponent.
Deponent further avers that the said Mary Dorgan was the sister in law of Catherine O'Connell, above names and was intimately acquainted with and knew the family of said Catherine O'Connell.
Deponent further avers that he has learned, from the said Mary Dorgan that William Connell, Junior, to whom United States land patents for the land above described were issued, was the son of said Catherine O'Connell above named. that said William Connell departed this life intestate, and unmarried, leaving him surviving no child or children, and no descendant or descendants of a deceased child or children, and no father: that he left him surviving his said mother, Catherine O'Connell, his heir and only heir at law.
Deponent further avers that John W. O'Connell, who executed the warranty deed to deponent under the name of Daniel F. O'Connell, recorded in book 411 page 150 of records, in the office of the Recorder of LaSalle County, Illinois, is the same person named John william O'Connell, brother of deponent.
Deponent further avers that he was baptized under the name of Daniel Francis O'Connell: that his father's name was Jerome O'Connell: that his father died when he (deponent) about two years old - and the family commenced to call him Jerome - and Jerome Francis, after his father: that when he was confirmed in the Catholic Church, he was confirmed under the name of Jerome Francis O'Connell, but he is the identical person named in the Probate Court records of the County of Cook and State of Illinois, in the matter of the administration of the estate of Ellen M. O'Connell, as Daniel Francis O'Connell.
Deponent further avers that from the date of the death of Catherine O'Connell, in 1871, until the death of Ellen M. O'Connell, on the 22nd day of March, 1899, the said Ellen M. O'Connell and John W. Dorgan, according to their respective interests in said land, under the last will and testament of said Catherine O'Connell, had peaceable possession, claimed to own, and paid the taxes from the date of the death of said Ellen M. O'Connell until September 29, 1899, the said John W. Dorgan and deponent and John W. O'Connell had the peaceable possession of said premises claimed to own the same, and paid the taxes thereon, and that said John W. Dorgand and deponent, and deponent, from September 29, 1899 to the present time have had the peaceable possession of said premises, claimed to own the same, and paid all taxes thereon.
deponent further avers that for a number of years prior to 1871, he knows that Catherine O'Connell herein before named, was in the peaceable possession, claimed to own, and paid the taxes on the premises described in the caption hereto.
