Tom was a alcoholic.  In 1951 he was beaten with a walking cane by a crazy  drug addict on the street in Miami, Florida. He was left laying there in the street, and he died there from pneumonia.   Harley  Lee &

E.Z. Lee went down to Miami and brought Tom's body  back to Starke, Florida for burial.
