Salt Lake Tribune, May 4, 1941, Page 14 - B John William Vier John William Vier, 66, 249 Rio Grande Avenue, a retired painter, died of a heart attack Saturday at 5:15 p.m. at 49 East Second South Street. He was born in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, September 12, 1874, a son of James Vier & Mary H. Gladen Vier. He had lived in and near Salt Lake City for the past 40 years. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Harriet A. Vier, and three sons, James William, Charles Leslie and Count Woodrow Vier all of Salt Lake City; a brother Edward Vier of Delta, Colorado; two sisters, Mrs. Mollie M. Myers of Hotchkiss, Colorado, and Mrs. Addie Lee Bagar of Lamar, Missouri, and seven grandchildren.
