Notes for CARL HARRY TIMMERING: This was my Dad's "ONLY" younger brother.....(besides the baby who died).......uncle Carl was mildly mentally retarded. He WAS the kindest , gentlest, person I had ever met. He was regarded as a "SLOW" person. We used to go visit them ; uncle Carl and his brother "fats" lived together in the old homestead on Prentice St. and Uncle Fats took care of Carl Till Carl's dying day..... what a shame uncle fats never married. Everyone says he had had a beautiful girlfriend and had a picture of her on the mantle for years. But, he also had made a promise to his Mother that he would always take care of Carl...and he did. Uncle Carl had this special thing with numbers and birth dates.......there was never a date he couldn't remember! And he would always remind us again before we left that he remembered our birthdays! There was a story my cousin( LOUISE) related to me much later in her life, that my Grandmother TIMMERING had a very bad fall and, the doctor had denoted that this was probably the cause for his brain damage....... |
