First Generation
1. George Washington GREEN was born on Oct 24 1836 in Kanawha Co., VA (1). He died on May 31 1918 in Winnifrede, WV (1). Served in Co. H.13 West Virginia Vol Inf. Pension cert. No. 926.654 according to a sworn affidavit dated 6-17-1907. An attached note from the Winnefrede postmaster returns his pension check stating that he died 5-31-1918. In the 1900 census grandchildren George F. Petry (8/1889) and Viola Hicks (2/1897) are listed with this family.

He was married to Jane HALSTEAD (daughter of Joseph HALSTEAD and Margaret BROWN) on Jul15 1860 in Kanawha Co., VA. Jane HALSTEAD was born in 1845 (I have July 1843). George Washington GREEN and Jane HALSTEAD had the following children:

6. Joseph Wilson GREEN was born on Feb 14 1875 in Winifred, Kanawha Co., WV. In the 1900 census Rosa, Joseph, and William are living with Rosa's dad Lorenzo D. Massey.	

Rosa Belle MASSEY (daughter of Lorenzo D. MASSEY) was born on Oct 14 1883 in Orgas, Boone Co., WV. Joseph Wilson GREEN and Rosa Belle MASSEY had the following children:

8. Guy Matthew GREEN was born in 1880 He was married to Edith. Edith was born in 1883. Guy Matthew GREEN and Edith had the following children:
